摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the degradation of image caused by the discontinuous point of pixels without diminishing the pixel, by judging whether a boundary between a black area where plural black pixel areas to which the magnetic toner is to be fixed, are continued, and a white pixel area to which the magnetic toner is not to be fixed, is oblique or not, and making the pulse width and the number of recording pulses of the area where the difference in level is to be generated, different from those of the other area. SOLUTION: The visual difference in level is found on a discontinuous point 102 on a boundary of a black area. The difference in level is reduced by perceiving the neighborhood of the discontinuous point 102. The difference in level at the perceived point 102, is caused by the high spatial frequency in the neighborhood of the perceived point 102, so that the recording should be performed in the condition that the spatial frequency of the point is lowered. To be concrete, the recording is performed in the condition that the density of the areas 103, 104 of proper size in the neighborhood of the perceived point is controlled to be lower than that of the black area 105. The density is lowered in the order of areas 105, 103, 104. Thereby the spatial frequency in the neighborhood of the perceived point, is lowered, and the image is visually shaded, by which the image looks even.
