PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device having a developer recovery structure which reduces time required for a developer recovery operation, makes it easy for even an operator to carry out the recovery operation, thereby preventing a decrease in the operation rate of a copying machine, that is, copying efficiency, simplifies a recovery part and prevents soil in the machine, and, further eliminates time and effort needed for maintenance. SOLUTION: The developer recovery part is equipped with a means 2 for fixing a developing unit A, a magnet rotating means 7 for retracting a main magnetic pole situated in the development opening of the developing unit A, a rotation drive means 4 for rotating and driving the developing sleeve in the developing unit A, and a recovery container 3 for recovering developer discharged from the development opening. Thus, in the condition where magnetic- brush napping due to the main magnetic pole is prevented, the developer can be recovered toward the recovery container 3 from the development opening by means of a centrifugal force produced by the rotation of the developing sleeve. |
