PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the feeling of visual disorder and to improve display quality by providing no seal material at a place where substrates are made to abut against each other and making liquid crystal continuously present at the abutting place. SOLUTION: Cut pieces of two liquid crystal display panels and substrates 101a and 101b are made to abut against each other, and placed on a glass substrate 22 which is coated with a seal material 20. Then a glass substrate 23 is placed on substrates 102a and 102b which are coated with a seal material 21. Then liquid crystal 24 is injected while the gap is reduced in pressure by evacuation from a liquid crystal injection hole formed at one place of seal materials 19a and 19b between the substrates 101a and 102a, and 101b and 102b. Consequently, the seal materials 19a and 19b are formed only at the peripheral part of a pixel area, the liquid crystal 24 can be spread and made present continuously at the abutting place without any break, and the liquid crystal is prevented from being reduced between the composite substrates, thereby improving the display quality. |
