The mist is prevented from forming on the surface of a mirror by blowing hot air over the surface of the mirror. The hot air is generated by an electric heating element, and an air circulation fan directs incoming air over the element to produce a stream of hot air. The heater and fan are mounted in the frame of the mirror, and the air is guided through ducts in the frame to outlets that direct it over the mirror surface. The stream of hot air heats the surface of the mirror and prevents mist forming there.
