PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and economical snubber circuit for a power converter by reducing the constituent parts of a star-type snubber circuit. SOLUTION: A shubber circuit has a first and a second resistors 31 and 32, connected to both ends of the series body of self-extinguishing semiconductor switching elements 1 and 2, the series body of a first and a second capacitive elements 21 and 22, connected between both these resistors 21 and 22, and a third capacitive element 23, connected between the middle point of the series body of the first and the second capacitive elements 21 and 22 and the middle point of the series body of the semiconductor switching elements 1 and 2. Then, the voltage, applied to the semiconductor switching elements 1 and 2 at the time of turning off the currents of the semiconductor switching elements 1 and 2, is suppressed by setting the value of each resistor 31 and 32. |
