PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the character processor which makes it easy to prepare framed characters and a document. SOLUTION: Character information is inputted and stored in a buffer. The length of a character string when characters of specific size are generated based on the character information in the buffer is detected (S3) and it is decided whether the detected character string length exceeds the maximum width of a frame (S4); when the maximum width is not exceeded, it is decided whether or not the width of a current frame is exceeded (S5) and when not, the characters of the specific size based upon the character information in the buffer are put in the frame (S7). When the width is exceeded in S5, the width of the frame is expanded according to the character string length and the characters of the specific size are put in the frame as mentioned above (S7). When the maximum width is exceeded in S4, the frame is expanded to its maximum width (S8), character size is calculated (S9), and the characters of calculated size based upon the character information in the buffer is put in the frame (S7). |
