PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make small the capacity of a memory used in copying and thus reduce cost. SOLUTION: Upon when copying is instructed, a CPU 14 starts carrying of recording paper P with a paper supply mechanism part 9h, and starts exposure operation with an exposure head 9c at the point of time when the specified first time is passed from the start of carrying of the recording paper P and an exposure starting sensor 12 detects the recording paper P. The CPU 14 controls a manuscript carrying mechanism part 1, a motor 2, a light source 3, a line sensor 4, an image processing part 5, and a read out control part 6 so that a manuscript D is read out from the point of time before the starting time of the exposure operation by the specified second time required to conducting with the line sensor 4 the read out equivalent to the number of the specified scanning lines smaller than the number of the whole scanning lines of the manuscript D prior to the start of exposure operation. |
