PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify connection wiring work of an optical cable and to improve a safe and excellent handling characteristic. SOLUTION: This box is an optical connection box 10 incorporating a terminal module 5 having an optical cable connecting plug 3 and/or connector 4 and a connection modules 6, and a coated optical fiber surplus housing part 7 connected to respective modules 5, 6 in a case main body 2 with a door 1, and the terminal modules 5 and the connection module 6 are provided respectively with a fiber cord separation part, a coated optical fiber connection part, coated optical fiber extra length housing parts 7, 8 and a coated optical fiber hold part 9, and by oppositely arranging them on brackets 13, 14 with a hinge shaft in the case main body 2 attachably/detachably and turnably through attaching members 11, 12, connection processing handling is simplified, and workability is improved remarkably, and discrimination is improved, and optional coated optical fiber handling is possible also, and moreover, only by putting connector/adapter in, the coated optical fiber is easily switched/exchanged and extended, and the box is mad high in safety, low in cost and compact in size. |
