PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify user's authentication processing at the time of switching base stations in a radio network system, and also to enhance the operability of a terminal and to reduce traffic. SOLUTION: This network system consists of plural base stations 3-11 to 3-1N which exchange data with a radio terminal 4 by radio, a base station control server 2 which entirely manages these plural base stations 3-11 to 3-1N and an authentication server 1 which authenticates a user of the terminal 4. In such a case, the server 2 has a substitutional authenticating device 5 which stores an authenticated result (an authenticating pass which ensures that a user was authenticated) of the server 1, together with a user's identifier (log-in name, a password, a terminal ID, etc.) of the terminal 4, and when an authentication request is sent from the terminal 4 through each base station, the server 2 authenticates a user, in place of the server 1, when an authenticating pass exists in the device 5. |
