PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an ETC vehicle from being judged as a non-ETC vehicle owing to a communication error by time-divisionally transferring information between tollgate and the vehicle with an automatic charge collection/reception function (ETC vehicle) in a range where plural communication areas are speci fied by first and second vehicle detector sensors. SOLUTION: When a vehicle 3 arrives at the first communication area 7a and the tip part of the vehicle 3 is detected by a first sensor 9a, the communication of charge collection/reception is started. When the second sensor 9b detects the tip of the vehicle 3 next, communication is stopped. When the vehicle 3 is an ETC vehicle, information required for collection/receiving a charge between the tollgate and the ETC vehicle through an antenna 8a in a non-stop state is transferred. When the vehicle 3 arrives at the second communication area 7b, information is transferred between the tollgate and the vehicle 3 through an antenna 8b. In such a case, information is transferred between areas 10a and 10b where information can most precisely be transferred in the communication areas 7a and 7b. |
