PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flawing resistance of a polarizing plate formed by laminating a protective film on a plastic polarizer, to suppress the discoloration at and under a high temp. and high humidity, to lessen the surface reflection of the polarizing plate surface and to improve the durability to environment, such as temp., humidity and light. SOLUTION: This polarizing plate protective film is obtd. by (1) forming ray transmittable inorg. thin film layers having a steam transmission rate of 300 to 1000g/m<2> .24hrs.40 deg.C 90% RH on one or both surfaces of a plastic film or (2) forming the ray transmittable inorg. thin film layer having the steam transmission rate of 300 to 1000g/m<2> 24hrs.40 deg.C 90% RH on one surface of the plastic film and forming a barrier type thin film layer having the steam transmission rate of 0 to 10g/m<2> .24hrs.40 deg.C 90% RH on the opposite surface thereof. The polarizing plate is constituted by laminating the polarizing plate protective film described above via adhesive layers on one or both surfaces of the plastic polarizer such that the ray transmittable inorg. thin film layer position on the outer side. |
