PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a need for an opposite communication terminal to have a path switching function in a communication system wherein an in-use or stand-by system and the opposite communication terminal communicate with each other. SOLUTION: If it is found through a life and death monitor path 10 that an in-use device 100 is not in normal operation, a standby device 200 takes over the process of the in-use device 100, adds the communication address of the in-use device 100 as the communication address of a transmission source to a frame, and sends the frame through a bridge 300. The bridge 300 has ports (a), (b), (c), and (d) for connections through LANs, repeats the frame to which the communication addresses of the transmission source and reception destination of the information processor are added by transferring it between the ports, and performs the repeating according to the latest correspondence relation between the port having received the frame sent from the information processor as the transmission source and the communication address of the information processor as the transmission source added to the frame. |
