PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which is capable of forming a black-and-white image normally and a color image as necessary, compact and advantageous to manufacturing costs, with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: In an electrophotographic printer part 1 for making a black-and- white print an ink jet part 2 is freely attachably/detachably provided on the downstream side in the carrying of a recording paper, so that the cost of equipment can be reduced by the selection of color printing. At this time, the images of an original at least partially including the color image can be formed by the jetting of color ink. The carrying path between a fixing roll 6 and an ink jet head 18 is made longer than the length of the recording paper and the difference in the carrying speed of the original in which the black-and-white and color images coexist, between the electrophotographic printer 1 and the ink jet part 2 is absorbed to smoothly form the images. Further, the ejecting part of the printer part 1 and the ink jet part 2 are arranged parallely, so that the device can be miniaturized and the position in a carrying direction of the ink jet head 18 can be shifted according to the size of the recording paper, by the movements of cases 2a and 2b. |
