PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the diagnosis of all the physical HDD(hard disk drive) by a diagnostic program of a host system, etc. SOLUTION: This device is provided with plural magnetic disks 7B and 8B, plural magnetic head parts 7A and 8A recording and reproducing these plural magnetic disks 7B and 8B, a decoding part 6 converting a logical address transmitted from a host device into a physical address at each magnetic disk, and a driving control part 3A drive-controlling each magnetic part according to the physical address outputted from this decoding part 6. In addition, the decoding part 6 is provided with a diagnostic address changing function converting the logical address of a magnetic disk diagnostic command transmitted from the host device to the physical address of each disk and the driving control part is provided with an each magnetic disk diagnostic control function controlling the test of write and lead by setting the physical address changed by a diagnostic address changing function to be an object. |
