PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operation convenience by storing desired picture data in a picture data storing part within a viewer's home terminal so as to process the reproducing operation of a picture with respect to the picture data storing part. SOLUTION: When the viewer designates desired picture data from the key pad 54 of a home terminal(HT) 5-1, CPU 51 sends a picture request signal (m) to a center 1. A controller 14 retrieves a picture data base 10 and sends desired picture data (b) with the address of HT 5-1 to a CATV transmission line X-1. The HT 5-1 demodulates received picture data (g), stores it in the picture data storing part 52 and then reproduces it through a TV interface 53. When the viewer executes picture operation such as fast forward/rewind/ instant stop/slow reproduction, etc., by means of the key pad 54, CPU 51 controls the part 52 for fast forward/rewind/instant stop/slow reproduction, etc. |
