摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner emitting slight odor, excellent in stability of a charged state and having well-balanced fixability and anti-offsetting property. SOLUTION: This resin binder for a toner contains high and low mol.wt. polymer components and has <=0.5wt.% volatile component content and <=1 mgKOH/g acid value. In the mol.wt. distribution of this resin binder by gel permeation chromatography, the mol.wt. (MH) of the peak top of the high mol.wt. polymer component is in the range of 1×10<5> -3×10<5> and the mol.wt. (ML) of the peak top of the low mol.wt. polymer component is in the range of 2×10<3> -3×10<4> . The ratio (MH/ML) of the mol.wt. of the peak top of the high mol.wt. polymer component to that of the low mol.wt. polymer component is 10-40 and the ratio (PH/PL) of the power (PH) of the peak top of the high mol.wt. polymer component to the power (PL) of the peak top of the low mol.wt. polymer component is 0.14-1.
