PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser oscillator which can be operated with low power consumption especially when a semiconductor laser is used. SOLUTION: A Peltier drive section 300 drives a Peltier element 150 formed in a laser oscillator provided with an optical resonator comprising a laser crystal and an output mirror. A switching regulator section 320 generates a voltage corresponding to the duty at a pulse width modulating section (PWM) 310, a current detecting section detects a current flowing through the Pettier element 150 and an H bridge section 340 switches the direction of current flowing through the Peltier element 150. The H bridge section 340 comprises a P-channel FET and an N-channel FET wherein the P-channel FET is connected in parallel with another N-channel FET. |
