<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the processing time of a magnetic stripe processor for a bankbook or card. SOLUTION: The reading and writing operation of a magnetic tripe 2 by carrying a medium 1 and fixing a magnetic head 5 and the reading and writing operation of the magnetic stripe 2 by stopping carriage of the medium 1 and moving the magnetic head 5 are jointly used. First, the reading and writing operation is performed by carrying the medium 1, and a rereading or write checking operation is performed by stopping the medium 1 without being returned to a write commencing position and moving the magnetic head 5. Consequently, a carrying operation of the medium 1 in the reverse direction is made unncessary.</p> |
