PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To plate a steel plate without causing scratches by detecting the rotational speed of a drive source and controlling the rotational speed to a target level. SOLUTION: A speed detector 52 determines the rotational speed of a drive motor 8 and imparts information on the rotational speed to a speed command output section 32 and a speed control section 38. Subsequently, the speed control section 38 determines the speed difference between the rotational speed reference of a support roll 11 and a motor speed feedback value and alters a speed gain, being used at the speed command output section 32, or performs switching operation of mechanical loss compensation with reference to the speed difference, thus performing rotational speed control. Since a drive source is feedback- controlled to match the peripheral speed of roll in the bath with the carrying speed of a steel band, the steel plate can be plated without causing scratches. |
