摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin binder giving a toner excellent in image stability without deteriorating fixability, blocking resistance and anti-offsetting property as a toner. SOLUTION: This resin binder for a toner is polyester resin consisting of acid components including dicarboxylic acid as the principal component and diol components including arom. diol and/or aliphatic diol as the principal component and contg. a compd. of a metallic element having >=3.4eV work function by <=300ppm of the total amt. of the acid components. This resin binder has 50-75 deg.C glass transition temp., 80-170 deg.C softening temp. and <=25mgKOH/g acid value.
