The holding mechanism has a cylindrical tubular section (10) with an inner hole to hold the fibre optic cable (5). There is a hole in the tubular section leaving the enlarged diameter section (15) of the cable free. There is an elasticated section (3) around the outer of the tubular section, with a gap between this and the outer wall of the holder.
