PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To serve video 1 and sound or the like with high S/N and high recep tion efficiency by amplifying a received signal at the same frequency as that of a general broadcast signal and sending the amplified signal in the form of a vertically polarized wave thereby allowing a receiver to be freely moved at a preferred indoor position. SOLUTION: A radio wave sent from a TV broadcast station is received by an outdoor antenna of a house or the like and led to an antenna terminal 5 in a house via cable feeding. A video signal fed to a cable in the house is led to the repeater 1 through a cable 4 from the antenna terminal 5. A video signal amplifier in the repeater 1 amplifies the video signal within an electric field strength range stipulated by the regulations with the same frequency as that of the radio wave sent again from the TV broadcast station. The video signal amplified by the repeater is sent from a transmission antenna 2 toward the television receiver in a form of a vertically polarized wave. In this case, since the radio wave sent from the broadcast station is a horizontally polarized wave, even when the frequency is the same as the radio wave sent from the TV broadcast station, they are not interfered with each other and an adverse effect onto upper and lower stores in not caused. |
