The dashboard has a shell (20), a light source (50) emitting a yellow colour, a front glass (60) closing the front of the shell. A transparent or translucent decorative film (80) is associated with the front glass. The film is visible from the outside, and determines the colour of the dashboard when the instruments are not illuminated. A filter (70) is printed, painted or moulded into the glass, and determines the colour with the instruments illuminated. The combination of filter and decorative film are chosen for maximal light transmission, with the highest transmission being in the blue wavelengths. A secondary window is formed with maximum transmission in the red wavelengths. |
