PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for a consumer to own a personal computer and to service various information for an unspecified number of general consumers by controlling and storing specific video information and audio information and inputting control information to a main body. SOLUTION: This information service system 1 is so constituted that a terminal equipment 2 which is installed previously in a specific place and a host computer 6 which is installed in a different place from the terminal equipment 2 are connected by a telephone line 7 by using communication control units such as modems. This terminal equipment 2 is provide with a monitor 3, a keyboard 4, and a speaker 5 on the front side of the main body 1a, and a control unit such as a personal computer which can store and control the information to be serviced is built in it and connected to the monitor 3, keyboard 4, and speaker 5. Further, the monitor 3 displays image data from the control unit to show a still picture and a moving picture in colors or in black and white. Then pieces of successive information are outputted periodically and automatically from the terminal equipment 2 together with image data and audio data. |
