PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease cogging torque without reducing the motor output by lessening the number of recesses for winding which are formed between main poles and auxiliary poles and the number of auxiliary recesses formed in the surfaces of the main poles or auxiliary poles. SOLUTION: In a dynamo-electric machine wherein auxiliary recesses are formed in parts of main poles 9a-9d or auxiliary poles 10a-10d which face a field magnet section, the sum of recesses 13a-13h for winding formed between the main poles 9a-9d and the auxiliary poles 10a-10d and auxiliary recesses 11a-11d formed in the surfaces of the main poles 9a-9d or auxiliary poles 10a-10d is nk (k is an integer of 4 or larger). The total of the recesses 13a-13h for winding and the auxiliary recesses 11a-11h is divided into two groups, with nk/2 recesses in each group. Each recess in a first group is located at an electric angleϕi which satisfiesϕi=(2π/k)i+2πp (i=0, 1, 2,..., (nk/2)-1, 0<=p<=n-1, p is an integer) and each recess in a second group is located at an electric angleϕj which satisfiesϕj=(2π/k)j+2πq+π/k (j=0, 1, 2,..., (nk/2)-1, q is an integer, 0<=q<=n-1). |
