Automatic brake lights control arrangement for vehicle

Inertial sensors on the vehicle monitor the retardation of the vehicle. A controller activates different modes of brake light to indicate different rates of retardation. The brake light function is automatic and is independent of the brake action ie. it is activated only by the retardation of the vehicle. The various brake light options include; variable intensity, variable flashing rates, different selections of brake lights as well as acoustic signals. The normal rear lights of the vehicle can also be included in some of the effects.
