Procedure for manufacture of decorative terracotta pots

A basic form of the pot is manufactured and then positioned in a decorating machine. A first face(30) is brought to bear against the outer face of the pot, and a second face(31) lying opposite the first bears upon the inner side of the pot. The side of the pot lying between the two faces is then compressed, and by indentation and/or moulding of the clay the relief-type decoration is produced, after which the pot is dried and fired.
