A shade assembly (20) comprises a roller assembly (40) and a pair of mounting brackets (50, 56) secured to opposed walls of a vehicle interior. The roller assembly (40) includes a flexible cover (26), a roller (41), rotational biasing structure and first and second attachment members (42, 44) disposed at opposed ends of the roller assembly (40). The attachment members (42, 44) are attached to a corresponding mounting bracket (50, 56). A first attachment member (44) is releasably secured to the first bracket (56) at a fixed point. The second mounting bracket (50) supports the second attachment (42) member at adjustable axial points. Thus, the shade assembly is able to accommodate various vehicle interior widths.
