The cosmetic mass (11) is held in a container (10) having a cover (13) with a front face which becomes permeable when pressurised. The mass is housed so its one side can be pressurised by means of a piston (8) as mounted axially on a twist spindle (7), the permeable faced front arranged at the outlet end (9) of the cosmetics container (10). The face (13) should be made of gauze or again forms the application tip and can be plugged, screwed or otherwise releasably fixed to the container. The cover (13) has an opening so that a relatively firm cartridge or lead laid axially in the container can be moved out through this opening. The cover (13) can be in net form when using a deep-drawn film container powder compact and in this case the container forms with net face so the layer of powder can be applied to the net cover in droplets.
