The watch has a housing, a clock mechanism, a watch glass (3) fixed into the housing and a magnifying glass (4). The magnifying glass, which covers the watch glass, is hinge mounted. The tilt axis (5) in the case of a wrist watch is parallel to the axis of the lower arm. The hinge angle is about 90 degrees. The watch glass has lugs (6,6') on one side with a bearing (7) part of the magnifying glass rotatably mounted between them by means of a pin (8).
