摘要 <p>A novel freezing point measuring method by which the cloud point of an object to be measured can be measured quickly and accurately. The totally reflected light from a liquid to be inspected, such as the light oil, etc., is measured at each temperature by making light incident to the liquid at an incident angle υ which satisfies a relation, υ∫υ2, when the critical total reflection angle of a precipitate, such as paraffin, etc., which is precipitated when the liquid is cooled by gradually cooling it is expressed by υ2. Then the freezing point of the liquid is decided from the change of the intensity of the totally reflected light with respect to the temperature change. The freezing point can be decided more accurately when the intensity distribution of the reflected light measured at each temperature with a sensor array is statistically processed. A total reflection type sensor having a waveguide structure in which an incoming path and outgoing path are formed can be used and a CCD is used as a detector.</p>
