摘要 Reflector has a laminated reflective layer on the surface of a reflector to increase the reflection. The laminate has a high refractive index (HI) layer with a refractive index n2 and a low refractive index (LI) layer with a lower refractive index n1, sandwiched between an outside layer facing the light source and the body of the reflector. The LI and HI layers are quarter wavelength ( lambda /4) layers. The novel features are that (a) the HI layer is a sol-gel layer; and (b) the optical film thicknesses dopt.1 of the LI layer and dopt.2 of the HI layer are given by ; in which i = 1, 2; di = the film thickness of the LI layer in mm; d2 = the thickness of the HI layer in mm; lambda = the average wavelength, in nm, of the incident light; and l1, l2 = odd natural numbers. Also claimed is the manufacture of the a reflector.
