PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finder optical system capable of relieving a photographer of a sense of incongruity, when he or she takes a photograph and miniaturizing an image pickup device by providing a relay lens system for optically connecting a primary image forming surface on which an image is formed by a photographic lens to a secondary image forming surface which can be observed by an eyepiece. SOLUTION: In the off state of a shutter, light after passing through the photographic lens 1 is reflected on a reflection mirror 2 and the primary image forming surface 5 on which the image is formed by the lens 1 is formed on a reticle 6 placed in a conjugate position with the image forming surface of an image pickup unit 4. The primary image forming surface 5 is inputted to the relay lens system 9 by a condenser lens 7 and a reflection mirror 8. The image formed on the primary image forming surface 5 transmitted by the relay lens system 9 is formed again on the secondary image forming surface 11 by a reflection mirror 10. A reflection mirror 12 reflects the secondary image forming surface 11 and guides it to the eyepiece 13. In the on-state of the shutter, the reflection mirror 2 jumps up and the image of a subject is formed in the image pickup unit 4 through the lens 1. |
