A carrier wagon suitable for passenger train service is equipped with a number of platforms upon which stand the private cars for conveyance during rail transportation. One car stands on one platform. The carrier wagon is a double-decker, and the platforms are distributed on the lower and upper decks and are movably connected there to the load-bearing structure of the carrier wagon by means of a conveyor system which consists of different means of conveying.
