The mechanism is connected to the gas operating system, the connection being sealed by a small locking support (4) which is slidable by slide rails. The locking mechanism consists of the locking support and locking head (6) which are provided with a latch pin (9), a cartridge extractor and a lock bolt (12). The locking head is in active connection with a cavity over the latch pin. The latching pin of the locking head may grip the back of a second latching pin and may be embedded in the cavity.
