The greenhouse comprises front-, rear- and side-walls together with a translucent roof incorporating V-shaped ridge-pieces. The latter contain skylights hinging on lengthwise axes between the open and shut positions. Each skylight (4) comprises two lengthwise beams parallel to the hinge axis and joined by transverse bars supporting the glass panes. Near the skylight edge furthest from the hinge axis is a lengthwise supporting beam between the first two and parallel to them. This has flanges extending along the bars and fixed to them, and is engaged by an adjusting mechanism opening and shutting the skylight. The hinge axis can be at the level of a trough running along the lateral edge of the ridge-piece.
