A quartz pressure transducer characterized by at least five cylindrically configured disc members (90, 93, 94) made of quartz and in a stacked array with a crystallographic orientation relative to one another where the central disc member (90) is a resonator disc and the discs (93, 94) on either side of the resonator disc (90) are a stress isolation disc (93, 94) and an end cap disc. The joints (91, 92) between the resonator disc (90) and an adjacent stress isolation disc (93, 94) are comprised of layered materials measured in Angstroms of thickness for attaching to a disc and for providing a metalized surface for cold weld bonding with an adjacent metalized surface to provide a thin resonator bonding joint with reduced stress. The stress isolation discs (93, 94) are sized with sufficient thickness relative to an end cap disc to isolate any bowing stresses in the end cap disc due to pressure from the resonator bonding joint (91, 92) and the resonator disc (90).
