A method for making a Fe-base soft magnetic alloy comprises steps of: injecting an alloy melt comprising Fe as a primary component, B and at least one metallic element M selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Mo and W onto a moving cooling unit to form an amorphous alloy ribbon; and annealing the amorphous alloy ribbon at an annealing temperature higher than the first crystallization temperature, in which a first crystal phase precipitates, and less than the second crystallization temperature, in which a second crystal phase precipitates, for an annealing time in a range of 0 minutes to 20 minutes to precipitate a fine grain phase having an average grain size of 30 nm or less, in which at least 50% of the grain phase comprises (bcc) Fe crystallites.
