Drive device for releasing vehicle seat from floor

The drive device is for a seat with substructure possessing an upper slide rail running on a lower slide rail on the vehicle floor. The rails (2) are connected to locking devices operated by a drive unit. The rear end of the lower rail is locked by a carrier (11) to a bar (14). There is an automatic mechanism to manoeuvre the drive unit (5). It is operated by an axial shifting of the seat substructure. It releases the bar only for a preset axial positioning of the substructure relative to the floor. The mechanism may consist of a cam (23) on an axis of the carrier.
