PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color heat-sensitive printer with a wider recording area. SOLUTION: Heat-sensitive coloring layers of yellow, magenta and cyan are formed successively on a color heat-sensitive paper 12. An yellow heat- sensitive coloring layer is fixed by ultraviolet rays of 420nm, and a magenta heat-sensitive coloring layer is fixed by ultraviolet rays of 365nm. One kind of heat-sensitive coloring layer is recorded on a coloring heatsensitive recording paper 12 by a thermal head 18 while the paper is carried in the right direction by a couple of carrying rollers 14. When a recording section reaches a fixing unit 20, ultraviolet rays of peculiar wavelength is emitted to the heat-sensitive coloring layer in the process of being recorded. The fixing unit 20 is constituted of ultraviolet lamps 21 and 22, a reflector 23 and a mirror 24. An emission opening 25 of fine width is formed on the front of the ultraviolet lamp 21 of the reflector 23. The mirror 24 is moved between the position retrieved from the front of the lamp 21 and the position reflecting the ultraviolet rays of the lamp 22 toward the emission opening 25. |
