SOUND INSULATING SHEET AND SOUND INSULATING METAL PANEL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulating metal panel lightweight as compared with one using a lead sheet and reduced in thickness and high in strength as compared with one using a porous material and excellent in handling properties. SOLUTION: This sound insulating sheet is produced by laminating an iron powder-containing resin sheet 1 and a decorative layer 2 (2'). As a resin of the iron powder-containing resin sheet, a polyvinyl chloride resin or a polyolefin resin is used. The sound insulating sheet is bonded to a metal panel so that the decorative layer becomes outside to produce a sound insulating metal panel. This sound insulating metal panel becomes more lightweight in the same soured insulating capacity as compared with one using a lead sheet and this sound insulating sheet becomes thinner in the same sound insulating capacity as compared with a porous foamed resin sheet and does not become bulky and the strength of the sheet itself becomes high.
