SWASH PLATE TYPE COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swash plate type compressor for which it is possible to apply a proper amount of preload to the swash plate without requiring a complicated adjustment. SOLUTION: Annular plates 70 and 80 are installed between thrust bearings 9 and 10 and the boss part 21 of a swash plate 20. The outside diameters of the annular plates 70 and 80 are larger than those of the rear-side race 52 and the front-side race 61 of the thrust bearings 9 and 10 adjacent to the annular plates 70 and 80. When a preload is applied to the swash plate 20, the outer circumferential edge parts 70a and 80a of the annular plates 70 and 80 are elastically deformed corresponding to the load so that an excessive preload applied to the swash plate 20 is absorbed.
