<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-base recording fluid which, unlike one prepd. by using a commonly used fungicide, is free from a safety problem with increasing toxicity by incorporating a specific dye as a fungicide into a water-base record ing fluid at least contg. a water-soluble dye and water. SOLUTION: An acridine dye (e.g. an acridine deriv. represented by formula I) pref. in an amt. of 0.01-5wt.% is incorporated into a recording fluid. Thus, stable recording is enabled without causing troubles due to the occurrence of fungi in the fluid, such as the clogging of a fluid passage or a nozzle in an ink-jet recorder, the change in color of the fluid, and the degradation in performance. The dye (e.g. a yellow dye represented by formula I) can be used also as the colorant for the fluid.</p> |
