<p>The invention relates to a method of electron spin resonance enhanced magnetic resonance imaging comprising the steps of: (i) placing a composition comprising a contrast agent and an MR imaging agent in a first magnetic field; (ii) exciting ESR transitions in the contrast agent to generate dynamic nuclear polarisation of th e MR imaging agent; (iii) separating the contrast agent from the MR imaging agent; (iv) administering the MR imaging agent to the sample; (v) exciting NMR transitions of the MR imaging agent is a second magnetic field; and (vi) detecting MR response signals from the sample.</p> |
