PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the close adhesiveness of a resin film base material and a gas barrier membrane and to hold excellent gas barrier properties in a gas barrier laminate consisting of the resin film base material and a gas barrier membrane being a vapor deposition membrane of a metal or a metal compd. SOLUTION: This gas barrier laminate is obtained by forming a gas barrier membrane 2 composed of a metal or a metal compd. on a resin film base material 1 by a physical vapor deposition method. A polyamide film 3 formed by a vapor deposition synthesizing method is held between the resin film base material l and the gas barrier membrane or laminated on the gas barrier membrane 2.
