摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition capable of exhibiting excellent sliding resistance on a frozen road surface for a long period of time and improving dynamic clutch resistance when used as the tread of studless tire. SOLUTION: The surfaces of vegetable granules obtained by grinding seed shells, fruit cores, etc., are coated with a mixture of a precondensate of a resorcinol-formalin resin and a latex by immersion or spraying. The vegetable granules are redried and sieved to give the objective vegetable granules regulated to 100-600μm particle diameter distribution. The rubber composition for tire tread is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. of a diene-based rubber with 1-30 pts.wt. of the vegetable granules subjected to the surface treatment and having 100-600μm particle diameter after the surface treatment or further 1.5-10 pts.wt. of vegetable granules which are not subjected to surface treatment improved in adhesiveness to rubber and have 30-250μm particle diameter.
