REVERSIBLE THERMOSENSITIVE COLOR DEVELOPING COMPOSITION AND REVERSIBLE RECORDING MEDIUM USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermosensitive color developing composition and a reversible thermosensitive recording medium which retain stable color developing and discharging properties and can deal with a wide range of use and environmental conditions. SOLUTION: This reversible thermosensitive color developing composition consists of an electron-donative and coloring compound and an electron-receptive compound and forms relatively a color developed state and a decolored state by a difference in the heating temperature and the cooling rate after heating. A phenolic compound expressed by formula is used as the electron-receptive compound. In the formula, X is a divalent group containing a hetero atom; R is a hydrocarbon group with at least, eight carbon atoms; and n is an integer of 1-3.
