<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent miscutting of an underside end out of the superposed ends of bands by installing a noncutting notch means in the specified part of a cutting edge in length equal to the work width of a cutter tool pressing and cutting the band imparted with tension around a packaging body. SOLUTION: A cutter unit 100 working together with a band unit presses an anvil 10 to an upper side end 12 of a band, cutting it without cutting an underside end 14 of the band rolled on a packaging body, and then it is so operated as to separate the band from a band feeder, therefore it is provided with a cutter holder 110 to which a cutter tool 120 including the anvil 10 is attached free of detachment. Those of cutter holder 110 and cutter tool 120 are energized to a noncutting position separating from another anvil 102 by a coil spring. Moreover a cutter tool 220 has three cutting edges 222, and a recess 224 as a noncutting notch is formed in a nearly central part of these cutting edges 222, through which any possible miscutting of the underside end 14 is prevented from occurring.</p> |
