PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new antibody, capable of specifically bonding to a phosphorylated MEK-1 peptide and useful for the measurement of phosphoenzyme activities of an raf-1 kinase which is one of protein kinases, elucidation, etc., of causes of diseases due to an abnormality in information transmitting mechanisms. SOLUTION: This new monoclonal antibody is capable of specifically bonding to a phosphorylated MEK-1 peptide in which serine of amino acid numbers 6 and 10 of an MEK-1 peptide represented by the formula is phosphorylated and is useful as a reagent for measuring phosphoenzyme activities of an raf-1 kinase which is one of protein kinases or a means, etc., for elucidating causes of cancers or a part of diabetes, etc., grasped as an abnormality in information transmitting mechanisms. The monoclonal antibody is obtained by culturing a new fused cell clone 1E9 (FERM P-15593) or clone 2F11 (FERM P-15594) prepared by fusing a cell, obtained from a mammal, immunized and infected with the phosphorylated MEK-1 peptide and capable of producing the antibody to a cell of a mammalian myeloma. |
