PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve soil such as of poor ground by using a combination of glyoxal containing an organic acid with phosphoric acid as a hardening agent so as to suppress formation and growth of crystal. SOLUTION: When a water-glass-based grout chemical composed of a main agent and a hardening agent is impregnated into soil and gelatinized so as to solidify and stabilize the ground, a combination of glyoxal containing 1.5-8.0wt.% of an organic acid (preferably acetic acid and glyoxylic acid) with phosphoric acid is used as the hardening agent. For example, preferably, the concentration of glyoxal is about 0.5-3.0% and that of phosphoric acid is about 0.3-5.0%. |
